I've decided to give up on trying to keep a blog up on Xanga. I just don't have enough time to do blogging while I'm still in school and trying to do other things. As my last act as a blogger on Xanga, I leave you some church software resources (just in case you accidentally stumbled across my site.
Well I decided to try out this xanga site for my church accounting software site. If that makes sense. I surely hope it would. My blog will give you the adventures of trying to learn more information about church management (accounting) software.
So far I've basically learned that churches are a lot different than normal companies. A normal company earns money and it is up to them how they spend the money. Churches have more restrictions on how they spend their money. I think this may be due to their tax-exempt status. Maybe someone could back me up on this? I think most not for profit companies are the same.
Anyways when a church receives a donation, they place the money in separate funds. Normal accounting software will not do this for the church, but church accounting software will facilitate the process.
Please sound off on church accounting procedures below.
Hi everyone! I'm just getting started on Xanga... Drop me a comment if you've got some ideas on what to do first - or just to say, "Hi!"
